Calendar and Diary Printing in Palakollu

Rates on this page are not confirmed yet. They are market typical for the district and are here so the page has a working shape. The page stays out of Google until the shop checks every figure in the table below.
In short

A single sheet wall calendar is about 45 rupees each at five hundred copies and a twelve sheet wall calendar about 110. Order by the first week of November. Calendars are printed once a year by everybody at the same time and the paper and the press both run out.

Business calendars are the cheapest advertising a shop here buys, because they stay on a wall for twelve months in the room where household decisions get made. Feed dealers, medical shops, jewellers, hardware and rice mills order them every year. The only genuinely hard part is the deadline, and it is not our deadline. It is the season.

All calendars carry your business name, address and phone. Telugu panchangam dates, festivals and muhurthams are included at no extra charge and are what most customers here actually want on the sheet.

How it works, step by step

  1. Order in the first week of November

    the real deadline

Everybody prints calendars in the same six weeks. Paper stocks tighten, the press fills, and the binding houses queue. Ordering in October is comfortable, November is normal, December is a scramble and January is pointless.

  2. Choose the format and the photographs

    1 day

Your own shop and products, or stock imagery of deities and landscapes which is what most business calendars here use. Bring what you want on it.

  3. Dates and panchangam

    we handle it

Telugu festivals, muhurthams and panchangam details are set by us and checked twice, because a wrong festival date on five hundred calendars hanging in five hundred houses is not a correctable mistake.

  4. Proof

    1 to 2 days

Check your phone number and check three festival dates at random against a reliable panchangam. Then approve.

  5. Print, bind and deliver

    5 to 10 days

Longer in December. Delivered in bundles of fifty for distribution.

Most businesses here do best with a large run of single sheet calendars for general distribution and a small run of desk calendars or diaries for their twenty most important customers.

What we have learned printing calendars every year

  • Check three festival dates yourself against a panchangam you trust before approving. We check twice, but a wrong Sankranti or Ugadi date on five hundred calendars hanging in five hundred houses cannot be corrected, and it is the one error nobody forgives.
  • Put the phone number at the bottom of every sheet on a multi sheet calendar, not only on the cover. By March the cover has been torn off and thrown away in most houses, and with it goes your advertising for the remaining nine months.
  • Order fifteen percent more than your list. Calendars get asked for by people who are not on your list, right through January, and a second short run in December is both expensive and often impossible.
  • A single sheet A3 at 45 rupees reaching five hundred kitchens beats a twelve sheet at 110 reaching two hundred. Kitchens are where household purchase decisions get made, and the kitchen wall takes the cheap calendar, not the handsome one.

Frequently asked questions

When should I order calendars?

The first week of November. Everybody prints calendars in the same six weeks, so paper tightens and the press and binding houses fill. October is comfortable, November is normal, December is a scramble.

How much does calendar printing cost in Palakollu?

A single sheet A3 wall calendar is 45 rupees each at five hundred copies, a twelve sheet is 110, and a spiral desk calendar is 98. A thousand copies brings the single sheet down to 36.

Do you include Telugu festival and panchangam dates?

Yes, at no extra charge, and it is what most customers here actually want on the sheet. We check the dates twice, and we ask you to check three at random against a panchangam you trust before approving.

How long does a calendar order take?

Five to ten working days in October and November. Longer in December once the season is running. Allow two weeks if you are ordering late.

Do you print diaries as well?

Yes. A5 with a PU cover and three hundred pages is 225 rupees each at five hundred, B5 is 295. Diaries are usually ordered as staff gifts and for key customers rather than for general distribution.
