- Price follows the length of the cut, not the size of the piece. A plain rectangle and an intricate floral panel of the same dimensions can differ by three times, because the beam travels three times as far. Simplifying a design genuinely reduces the bill.
- A JPG cannot be cut. The machine follows a path, so artwork has to exist as lines rather than pixels. This is the single most common reason a laser job stops before it starts, and redrawing costs 300 rupees once and is then yours forever.
- Leave the protective film on until the piece is fitted. Acrylic scratches easily and almost every scratch we see arrived between our counter and the wall, not from the machine.
- Engraved acrylic reads best lit from the edge rather than the face. That is the whole principle behind illusion lamps, and it is worth knowing if you are having an award or a donor panel made.
